It all started when…

Ryan grew up in the south between Athens, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina, forever influenced by the culture, architecture and traditional values that helped shape his skills and aesthetic. After college in Atlanta, Ryan moved to Ohio expanding a career in visual merchandising and styling, nurturing a passion for details and lighting. Always eager to learn more, a position as a design assistant was offered back in Atlanta and at 23 years old it was a chance to utilize his passion for visuals and apply these skills in an industry he didn’t know much about. Training for five years under the leadership of an established local interior design and architecture firm. As a token Montessori experiment, Ryan watched, listened and learned the business, from sales to drafting to project management and accounting. In 2008 after building a network of clients, trade resources and contractor relationships, Ryan opened his design firm as the only employee for several years.

The next big chapter and transformation as a company came in 2013 when the RAD team met. Erin Lester joined as a partner and CFO , bringing over twelve years of experience in marketing, logistics and accounting to a team that was overloaded and growing. Megan Isom is the latest manager to join the team in 2019, bringing equal experience in marketing and project management to our firm. We’ve been bi-coastal for the past four years and we have grown equally in love with Southern California, where we are actively growing a west coast team. Our designers, project managers and interns allow us to manage numerous projects at once. We truly fall in love with our projects and put our heart and soul into every detail and we love wearing all of those hats.
